Pete Davidson Tells Kanye West To ‘Grow The F**k Up’ In Publicized Text Exchange

The comedian also reportedly texted the rapper a photo of himself “in bed with your wife.”—–

Why are these the main topic headlines of the Pete Davidson – Kanye West exchange and not the fact that Pete Davidson used misogynistic language with Kanye when he said “your actions are so pussy and embarrassing”? Why is the misogyny, denigration of women and equating being a pussy with being wrong, crazy and “embarrassing” not the main headline anywhere? Why is that not considered a big deal, that Pete Davidson compared being pussy to being embarrassing? This is derogatory toward women. Why do we keep allowing people to put women down when they try to insult each other and say “don’t be a pussy” /“ your actions are so pussy”? Why is this not condemned and taken as seriously as the hateful, derogatory phrases “don’t be gay” / “stop being gay”? It’s derogatory toward women. Why is this not a main headline anywhere on the internet or in media? I have not even heard Trevor Noah mention this.

Further, why does liberal American culture still seem to protect trans people, black people and gay people far more than women when it comes to condemning language? Non-black people are not even allowed to say the “n-word” in context when talking about history or when singing along to a rap song, but we still allow people to say “don’t be a pussy” without condemning it and without it being the main headline of an article? People lose their careers and relationships over the use of the “n-word” and phrases like “don’t be gay”. We also don’t allow people to say “don’t be a retard”. We condemn “don’t be gay,” “don’t be a retard” and absolutely prohibit the use of the n-word by non-black even in context when talking about history and culture, but we still allow and don’t condemn the phrase “don’t be a pussy” and “your actions are so pussy”?

This is always used to imply weakness and embarrassment, so why is this usage of the word “pussy” not taken as seriously as “don’t be gay,” “don’t be a retard” and use of the “n-word”? Is female dignity worth less than the dignity of gay people, mentally handicapped people and black people? That is what society implies when the use of this derogatory language is not a main headline like the “n-word” and phrase “don’t be gay” and “don’t be retarded”. Where is the responsibility of journalism and cultural icons to condemn this this misogynistic language and take it just as seriously as any other hate speech? This is hate speech towards women. Why is this not taken more seriously and just as seriously as “don’t be gay,” “don’t be a retard” and use of the “n-word”?

I painted this because I’m amazing.
